A complete gem... If you love American IPA it's the best ... Rivals many bars that are twice the price in London.
Pizza is epic too.... I will be back! -

"Good for kids"? We got kicked out because my kids are actually kids. Walked in at 8:10 for pizza and they say no kids after 8. What? Kids can't eat after 8? We ate dinner the night before at a local pub, after 8, no problem. I always heard that Europe was more progressive about kids in bars, well I guess not. So it's McDonald's tonight's. We were so excited walking in, music, games, pizza, and we got turned away. It's disgraceful.

If you want a great beer selection than major toms is the place for you. The have an extensive beer list, which includes beer from England which is what I was interested in since I am a visitor to the area. The pizza is unique and has a lot of options that are not just your typical pepperoni pizza. I got the veggie which was really yummy! If you are looking for options outside of pizza though there isn't many options to choose from. The decor is unique and fun!!

One of my favourite bars to visit in Harrogate.
We were fortunate enough to be staying in the travelodge opposite Major Tom's on our first visit to Harrogate, as we could have possibly walked past it if we hadn't have been, due to the fact it sits above a selection of vintage shops. But if you follow the stairs up to this cafe/ bar, it transforms into a retro-feeling, huge bar. With old fashioned sofas, 70's lamps and pacman arcade games galore, it really has a cosy feeling in such a big venue. Great for groups, but cuddled up on a sofa, my boyfriend and I felt snug as a bug playing dominos and connect four.
Although I lost both games, it couldn't stop me from loving this place. To try really hard to find any faults, I just wished it had a wider selection of ciders- then it would be perfection! We unfortunately didn't have time to sample their pizzas, but they also looked (and smelled) amazing.
A definite must if you're visiting Harrogate! -

A fantastic little bar situated above a retro/antique/pop culture shop in the very cool town of Harrogate.
You can probably tell by the name that it's slightly Bowie influenced and there's definitely a retro vibe throughout, with nods to the 60's and 70's throughout - the entire aesthetic looks like it was done on a budget but this is one of the cool things about it, it reminds me a lot of the early days 'Common' in Manchester when everything was flung together using ply wood and borrowed furniture.
The craft beer selection is simply awesome - amazing choice on tap and bottle and the food menu is simplistic, but decent. We had the charcuterie board which was nice (check out my snaps) and they specialise in pizza.
Just be careful if you're hungry though - a 35 min wait for our food when half busy... not sure if they have more staff usually but did seem to be a bit excessive when it comes to putting some bread, meat and cheese on a board.
Looking forward to heading back here at night as supposedly a really good joint in the evening.
